Hard reset (factory reset) is the process of restoring a device to its original system state by erasing all data, settings, and applications added by the user. This returns the device to the condition it was in when it left the factory.
If you want to perform a factory reset on the Infinix Hot 10 (or Hot 10 Play), follow these detailed steps below.
Important Notes:
- A hard reset will erase all personal data, including apps, photos, and accounts.
- Ensure your phone has at least 50% battery to avoid interruptions.
- If your phone is locked, you may need your Google account credentials to set it up again.
Method 1: Using Settings Menu
- Backup your data (contacts, photos, etc.) to Google Drive or an SD card.
- Go to Settings
- Swipe up until you see the "System" section (sometimes labeled "Additional Settings" in some Infinix versions).
- Then select Reset Options.
- Tap Factory data reset > Reset phone.
- Confirm by selecting Erase All Data.
- Enter your PIN/Password if prompted.
- Your Infinix Hot 10 will reboot, taking a few minutes to reset to factory settings and optimize pre-installed Android 10 (XOS 6.0) apps.
