How to hide files and folders in Windows 10
Perhaps you have some important documents, photo and videos that you want to keep away from prying eyes. It can be confidential information or even files that you don't want to share to any one. This will help to prevent users from accidentally access or deleting certain files if you are sharing your PC with other people.
In this article i will explain step by step to hide files on Windows 10 users by using File Explorer.
1. Open File Explorer.
2. Go to the file or folder that you want to hide.
3. Right-click the item and click on Properties.
6. If you want to hide a folder with files and subfolders, Select the Apply changes to this folder, subfolders, and files option.
7. Then, Click OK
8. Click OK and then you are done.
REMEMBER: By default Windows 10 doesn't show hidden files but if your hidden files still appear, Go to Control Panel>>Appearance and Personalization>>File Explorer Options then click on Show hidden files and folders then Choose Don't show hidden files, folder, or drives then click Apply.
If you want to use your files you should go back to Control Panel>>Appearance and Personalization>>File Explorer Options then click on Show hidden files and folders then Choose Show hidden files, folder, or drives then click Apply.
